Mission

Cincinnati Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship’s mission is to provide young surgeons with the guidance, mentorship and surgical expertise needed to improve care of the patients regionally and nationwide.

The goals/objectives of the fellowship are:

To foster a desire for lifelong learning around shoulder and elbow surgery.
To teach fellows the principles of shoulder and elbow surgery through case-based, didactic and hands-on learning.
To improve history-taking, physical examination and medical and surgical decision-making in shoulder and elbow surgery.
To develop the surgical skills necessary to improve care of patients through basic and advanced surgical techniques around the shoulder and elbow.
To foster independent fellow-driven research.
To improve shoulder and elbow care in the Greater Cincinnati area.
To hone presentation and discussion skills as it relates to shoulder and elbow surgery.
